Happy accident while preparing some ramen noodles. I had intended to sprinkle in some red pepper flakes. However the bottle that I picked up was oregano. That was just the beginning. I figure some other spices would likely be good in there too. So I ended up with parsley oregano rosemary and thyme. As well as red pepper flakes and some some garlic powder. Once the soup was about ready to serve I beat up an egg and while the soup was still moving, slowly drizzled in the beaten egg. Result a version of egg drop soup. Not tasting anything like what one would get at an Asian restaurant.
This piqued my interest as to what others have done. Found this: http://www.seriouseats.com/2011/03/ramen-hacks-30-easy-ways-to-upgrade-your-instant-noodles-japanese-what-to-do-with-ramen.html .
